Family News in 2015:

11/1/2015 Jan Fertig, through the Geni messaging system, sent a link to the marriage record of Hugo Steinschneider (the author of this site’s great-grandfather) from the Prostejov archives that have been posted online. The information found here helped verify data that had been originally submitted by Musch Steinschneider several decades ago. The images below are captures of that data.

10/31/2015 A recent submission from Cousin Assaf Steinschneider, via information provided by Cousin Danielle Feigenbaum, provided quite a bit of genealogical information for Moritz Steinschneider’s (1817 - 1907) children. This includes data on Max, Jacques, Joseph, and Julius. Some of the updated information can be found in the corresponding revised outline report. The source data is a listing for Berlin lawyers that can be accessed in this PDF file.

1/10/2015 Thanks to extraordinary assistance from Sallyann Sack-Pikus, Ph.D., editor of AVOTAYNU; the International Review of Jewish Genealogy, we've been able to update extensively the genealogy of what has become the outline report of Wolf Steinschneider in Poland.

Coincidentally, Sallyann's sister Judy Adler also contacted us at about the same time. Judy's information was useful for the update of additional information in the report.

For those not familiar with AVOTAYNU, they are the leading publisher of products of interest to those researching Jewish genealogy. If one is looking into one's Jewish roots, AVOTAYNU is a required stop. This researcher's first genealogical books came from this incredible online resource.
